Amanda worked in an animal shelter for one year which gave her the opportunity to interact with and care for over 400 different animals. She then became a state licensed security guard where she was the supervisor of her post and held the rank of Lieutenant.

In September 2007, Amanda resigned from security in order to run the pet sitting business full time. Most recently, she began a small website design business called AGV Web Design.

Amanda loves the flexibility of being her own boss and hopes to provide many years of quality at-home pet care to the community.

Gina

Gina has a long history of animal care. She started volunteering at a Tucson veterinary clinic at the age of 12 and was hired as a veterinary assistant once she turned 16. She has been employed at a veterinary hospital ever since.

In Flagstaff, Gina worked as a vet tech for 6 years. She is now a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and works in the surgical department at an animal hospital in Gilbert.

She hopes to finish school and become a veterinarian herself one day. For now, she primarily helps AGV when her medical expertise is required.

Janet Woodruff joined AGV in May 2009 when the business expanded to Phoenix.

At home, Janet has two poodles, Angel and Sassy, and a betta fish named Gary.

Her hobbies include reading, crocheting, and expanding her music listening horizon with her husband, Jason!

Brent

Brent Dunham joined the AGV team in June 2010. He was born and raised in Southern California, but attended high school in Flagstaff. He went back to L.A. for college, then returned to Flagstaff and now works both as a pet sitter for AGV and as a teacher for FALA (Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy).

He has loved animals all his life and has owned numerous pets including dogs, cats, fish, horses, chickens and goats on his mother's ranch. He currently has 3 cats named Rocket, Pistol Pete, and Ruby. Pictured with him is his friend's dog, Peanut.

Brent enjoys anything having to do with movies: watching them, studying them, and even making them. He also loves playing and recording music, reading Stephen King, and traveling.

You should also notify anyone with access to the home that you are using our services. If anyone else has access to your home while the job is being performed we can assume no liability for any damages or losses to your home or pet. We are completely indemnified for any and all liability stemming from the act(s) or failure to act of third parties, whether known or unknown, including but not limited to, friends, neighbors, relatives or other service persons, that shall enter your residence for any purpose while we are caring for your pets.DAY OF RETURNWe require that a specific time of return be given to us when you book your service. This goes hand in hand with our policy that you call once you get home, no matter what time it is. We feel it is a necessity to verify you have returned safely as scheduled and that your pets are taken care of. If we don’t receive a call by your given ETA, we will try to contact you. If we can’t reach you, we will continue service as normally scheduled until we are notified of your return. Any additional visits will be added to your invoice.REFERRAL PROGRAMWe offer a referral program that entitles you to a $15.00 credit for every new client that uses our services and tells us they were referred by you. This credit is only valid towards services performed by AGV Pet Sitting & More.

Simba and Sebastian are brothers who were found as stray kittens. I'm a 2 year old Pit Bull from Flagstaff. After I had a litter of puppies my owner decided he was going to sell me for fighting, but thankfully I was rescued before that could happen. I have been living with foster parents in Phoenix since February. There are 5 other dogs and 2 cats in the house, so I'm already used to many kinds of pets.I can be dominant at times, so I would be best in a home without another dominant dog, especially a female. I like cats, but sometimes I try to play with them when they don't want to be bothered. I'm also good with children, but since I tend to forget how big I am I'd prefer to live with kids I won't easily knock over. I'm very scared of men, so I bark to try to keep them away from me, but once I get used to them we are great pals.I'm potty trained and am currently learning basic commands such as sit, down, off, and no. My vaccines are current and I'm spayed.If you can provide a safe home and lots of playtime, I will love you forever.

Chewy
Amanda and Gina found Chewy in Tucson in July 2010. He wasn't neutered, didn't have a collar, and wasn't micro-chipped, so they decided to take him back to Phoenix.After getting him examined, fixed, and vaccinated, Gina and Amanda tried to find Chewy a home with someone they personally knew, but nothing ever panned out. For a while they considered him part of the family, but with 4 other dogs and 2 cats they felt he would be better off in a home with less pets where he could get more attention.In May 2011, Amanda took Chewy to the Phoenix Pet Expo in hopes of getting him adopted. It worked! On the way home, Amanda got a call from someone who had seen Chewy and a home visit was scheduled for the very next day. The couple already had one dog who Chewy seemed to get along with just fine. After about an hour, Chewy officially had a new home, and Amanda and Gina parted ways with their good friend. His name has since been changed to Shep and his new family loves him very much!
